The Yungaburra Community Rotunda is pleased to present a very special event Sunday 31 August 2025 showcasing the remarkable Soul Song Choir from Cairns! ‘Choir but not as you know it’! Last year, Soul Song performed for the first time at the Rotunda, and all who attended were treated to a very special afternoon!
Soul Song, the only pop choir in Cairns, is renowned across the region for their dynamic, fervent, and uplifting performances! They foster an inclusive environment, uniting both singers and non-singers from diverse backgrounds in a safe, joyful community that shares pop, soul, and gospel songs from various eras. Their song selection is meticulously curated to inspire, energize, and thrill their audiences, who often find themselves dancing and singing along!
Their ethos revolves around the joy they experience and the memories they create while striving to produce the best music possible! They wear their emotions openly and prioritize passionate, therapeutic storytelling over flawless choral technique. Their rehearsals and performances follow a heartfelt rhythm: Sing-laugh-sing-cry-sing-repeat!
Soul Song is dedicated to encouraging everyone to sing. While they will be performing a diverse range of songs FOR you, they will also invite you to sing along WITH them as they present some of the Bangers and Mash Ups repertoire. Fresh off the heels of major Adelaide and International Fringe performances, these themed medleys and mashups are filled with familiar tunes. You’ll receive some lyrics and have the opportunity to sing along with the choir. It’s the perfect way to wrap up one week and kick off the next on a high note!

This is a family-friendly free event, and if you wish, you can donate directly to the band. All are welcome to attend!
Remember to bring along a chair, blanket, or rug to reserve your piece of front-row lawn. Refreshments will be available onsite from The Whippy Express.
Parking is available via Short Street. In case of rain, the alternative venue will be the Yungaburra Community Hall.
