Harvest Lane in Mareeba is an amazing new international grocer with a great range from around the world. There’s also a juice & ice cream bar in store, featuring @mungallicreek ice cream, with a patisserie coming later this year.

Well worth popping in and showing your support!

There’s no shortage of creativity on the Tableland There’s no shortage of creativity on the Tablelands – and our brand new Design & Build series is here to showcase it! 🏡

Kicking things off is a fascinating piece by Jordana Wakelin from Heart & Home Property, featuring a handcrafted hyperadobe home in Barrine. Built using local soil and a whole lot of manual effort, it’s a home designed to work with the environment, not against it.

It’s a great reminder of what’s possible when people take a different path and bring an idea to life.

We can’t wait to share more of these stories with you over the coming months ⛰️

Millaa Millaa Falls is one of the most photographe Millaa Millaa Falls is one of the most photographed spots on the Atherton Tablelands. Most of us know the view well, but this iconic waterfall also has its own story shaped by an ancient lava flow.

In the latest issue of What’s On Tablelands, @kevin_explores shares a different way of looking at Millaa Millaa Falls, revealing the remarkable geology behind the falls.

It’s an interesting read that might change the way you see one of the Tablelands’ most popular places!

A wonderful afternoon at the International Women’s A wonderful afternoon at the International Women’s Day luncheon hosted by Connect Her Tablelands at the Atherton International Club.

Guests heard from two inspiring speakers – Jilinda Lee and Nicola Baker – who shared powerful stories, insight, and plenty of humour along the way. The afternoon was beautifully rounded out with live entertainment from the talented Emily James.

It was great to see so many women from across the Tablelands come together to connect, celebrate, and support one another. A really special way to mark International Women’s Day locally 💜💜

We’re so lucky to have incredible wildlife here on the Tablelands – and to live in a region where some species are endemic, meaning they’re found nowhere else in the world.

In order of appearance:

💚 Ulysses butterfly
💚 Mareeba rock-wallaby
💚 Wetland birdlife at Hasties Swamp
💚 Southern cassowary
💚 Saw-shelled turtle
💚 Platypus
💚 Musky rat-kangaroo

A pretty special place to call home 🌏
