Big week ahead on the Tablelands 🙌 From the first Big week ahead on the Tablelands 🙌

From the first bull ride of the year in the Great Northern Bullriding Series to the Outback Rock & Blues Fest, there’s plenty happening.

We also pause to mark ANZAC Day, with commemorations taking place across the region.

Plus live music, markets and more throughout the week. Have a scroll and see what’s on!

ℹ️ Things can change from time to time, so it’s always best to check in with event organisers before heading out, just to be sure.

Strawberries, farm gate mushrooms, local dairy, coffee plantations, distilleries and more – a look at what’s grown, made, and shared across the Tablelands.

If you’ve ever wanted to explore where your food comes from (or plan a really good day out!), this one’s worth a read.

Written as part of the @sustainabletablefnq ATIC project, this piece explores the people and produce behind it all.

Find “A Tablelands Harvest Adventure” in our April issue – online now or at local stockists.

📣 There have been a few recent changes to local ma 📣 There have been a few recent changes to local markets:

– We’ve been advised that the Julatten Markets did not go ahead in April, as the event is currently changing hands.
These markets have traditionally been held on the third Sunday from April to December, and it’s hoped they’ll return soon under new management 🤞

– The Dimbulah QCWA Markets will no longer run monthly. The next market will be held in May at the Dimbulah Lions Festival.

– The Yungaburra markets will be held this Sunday 26th April instead of Saturday 25th, out of respect for ANZAC Day commemorations.

As always, we recommend checking directly with event organisers or their social media pages before heading out, as plans can change.

This month’s feature is a Tablelands home built using reclaimed timber and carefully sourced materials, shaped piece by piece over time. From salvaged beams and old barn doors to wide Queensland Maple floorboards, every detail has a story, built around the materials on hand.

You’ll find it in the latest issue of What’s On Tablelands, in print and online. We hope you’re enjoying this series!
